SDMT Throw Back Thursday, “The Full Monty” with Bryan Banville

Happy #TBT from SDMT! This week we are reminiscing on our 2016 production of THE PRODUCERS, starring BRYAN BANVILLE as Leo Bloom! While the show itself was hilarious, Bryan’s favorite funny memory from the show occurred behind the scenes. While offstage during one of the shows, Bryan heard a loud crash. It wasn’t until he made his entrance that he realized the desk on stage had broken in half! He spent the entirety of the scene scrambling to hold it together, only to have the desk completely shatter during the show-stopping “I Wanna Be A Producer”! He remembers laughing hysterically inside at Gerilyn Brault, who played Broadway Reject, picking up the pieces in character and carrying them offstage. That’s showbiz, baby!
