Unlawful and unacceptable harassment based on race, color, gender, gender expression or identity, religion, national origin, ancestry, age medical condition, marital status, sexual orientation, disability or veteran status is not tolerated.

SEEKING: On the surface, Xanadu is fun and silly, but at its core is full of heart. The piece can’t be successful if it’s making fun of itself, so we’re looking for performers with excellent comic timing and sincerity who understand what it means to be seriously silly and who aren’t afraid to make bold, honest, choices. We are looking for a company of performers as diverse and magical as the mysteries of Xanadu. Performers of all shapes, sizes, gender identities, and ethnicities are encouraged to submit. ALL ROLES OPENNO HOUSING AVAILABLE / NON-UNION

CONFLICTS: Please look at the production calendar at the following LINK. You may only have conflicts between April 3-22 to be considered, but it is always better to have no conflicts at all. If you have any conflicts beyond April 22 or any performance date, please do not sign up to audition. Thank you for understanding!

PREPARATION
APPOINTMENTS: Plan on arriving 10 minutes before your appointment time to check-in. Prepare 16 bars of a song in the style of the show that shows off vocals and comic timing. Bring one headshot/resume. An accompanist will be provided so bring sheet music in the correct key.

*NOTE FROM THE  MUSIC DIRECTOR: The vocal ranges of the Muses (specifically Terpsicore, Thalia, Erato, and Euterpe) are in the alto/high tenor range typical of pop backup vocal arrangements. Any male-identifying actors cast in these roles will need to sing in this range throughout the show. For this reason, any male-identifying actors who are auditioning for these roles should audition with something that shows a strong and sustainable head mix, as well as the ability to transition fluidly to and from chest range.
