You Give. We Give.

As a local nonprofit 501(c)3 musical theatre organization, in addition to entertaining, we believe our musical productions can and should do more. In 2015, San Diego Musical Theatre launched the “You Give. We Give.” campaign to prove that musical theatre connects us and our audiences to bigger issues within our community. Each season the “You Give. We Give” campaign raises awareness and gives monetary support to other local non-profits by partnering each show with a related organization. Any donations collected at the theatre during the run of our shows go to help support the missions of both our YGWG partner and SDMT. We are proud that, since the inception of the YGWG campaign, we have given over $20,000 to some wonderful organizations.

For Xanadu, we are partnering with Breast Cancer Angels!

Breast Cancer Angels is a local non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization that assists individuals during treatment for breast cancer financially, legally, and emotionally. Their goal is that no individual should have to make a choice between treatment or food, and every need is considered for the patients and their families.

Mission Statement: To provide immediate and temporary assistance with: everyday immediate needs including housing assistance, transportation, food, utility payments and more during breast cancer treatment; locating other resources and providing compassionate and emotional support through social workers; and providing legal advice for family law.

Breast Cancer Angels have been giving support to patients and their families for over eighteen years. They operate in Orange County, Long Beach/South Bay, and San Diego, and they also do one-time emergency assistance in the Inland Empire and Los Angeles. One hundred percent of the donations they receive go directly to clients and their families, and they help an average of six hundred individuals each year. We’re so grateful at SDMT to be partnering with this incredible organization!
