Inspired by Miguel de Cervantes’ seventeenth-century masterpiece Don Quixote, MAN OF LA MANCHA is one of the most successful musicals in Broadway history. Powerful, brutal, hilarious, and heartbreaking, MAN OF LA MANCHA celebrates the perseverance of a dying old man who refuses to relinquish his ideals or his passion. The celebrated score includes “The Impossible Dream,” “I, Don Quixote,” “Dulcinea,” “I Really Like Him,” “Little Bird,” and “To Each His Dulcinea.”

He has traveled in 3 national tours, 2 international tours and sung the national anthem for the Minnesota Timberwolves. She most recently appeared as Mrs. Darling/Jane in Peter Pan at the Candlelight Pavilion. Previous roles include: Eponine in Les Misérables (Regional Tour), Cinderella in Into the Woods, Cunegonde in Candide, Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz and Hodel in The Fiddler on the Roof. Francesca originally hails from San Diego and performed as a chorister in the San Diego Opera for five years. As a soloist, she has performed concerts internationally from the U.K. to Milan, Italy. A graduate of Northwestern University, she made her Broadway debut at the age of 22, understudying the role of Ellen in Miss Saigon. She later worked regionally (Martha in 1776, dir. Terry Mann; Lucy in ...Charlie Brown, Peter in Peter Pan), and internationally (Magic of Musicals, Athens) and for Disney and Celebrity Cruise lines as principal vocalist. He has been the resident musical director for SDMT, since its inception. He has musically directed and conducted many shows: A Christmas Carol, I Love You You’re Perfect Now Change, Cabaret (San Diego Rep), American Rhythm, Boomers (Lamb’s Players), Superstar, Once On This Island, Rag- time and 1776 - Ovation nomination (Performance Riverside), and many others at Moonlight, Cygnet, Starlight, South Bay Cities, North Coast Rep and McCoy Rigby. The San Diego Theatre Critics Circle, has honored Don with the Outstanding Musical Direc- tion Craig Noel award for SDMT’s Ragtime, The Full Monty, and The Sound of Music. Don performs at Martini’s Above Fourth with his band “Keep It On The DL” and at the Imperial House. ”Without music, life would be a mistake”.

Favorites include GYPSY, THE MUSIC MAN, SWEET CHARITY, DAMES AT SEA, SUGAR, ON THE TOWN, OKLAHOMA, ANYTHING GOES, CARNIVAL, PETER PAN, BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR and 42nd ST. He has worked with a “who’s/who” of today’s Broadway stars both in full musical productions and in concerts from Los Angeles to New York’s Town Hall and Lincoln Center. He has won the 5 CONNECTICUT CRITICS CIRCLE AWARDS, TWO SAN FRANCISCO CRITICS AWARDS and the LOS ANGELES OVATION AWARD for his Direction and Choreography.
