Michelle’s love for lighting design stemmed from her love of heights and seeing the world from a different point of view, which developed into a desire to figure out how people perceive beauty and the world.

Her biggest challenge, but also most fun project, was lighting A Christmas Story due to its many settings and the switches between reality and fantasy. Michelle’s favorite show she’s done at SDMT was The Full Monty, which will always hold a special place in her heart as her first show with us.
