TESTIMONIALS ABOUT THE PROGRAM
“My 16 y/o daughter, said the Showgirl Series was such a friendly and safe environment! The teacher was well qualified and super easy going. She allowed them to work on their improv skills in dance which allowed them to use their creativity. FUN CLASS OVERALL! IT LEFT HER WANTING MORE!!”
– Victoria Villanueva“My son loves his private lessons with Van Angelo! Van challenges him to think about each element of a song and performance…and to be patient with his changing voice.”
– Erin Castelloe“I enjoyed the entirety of the tap class I participated in. I have taken classes with the SDMT Academy before, but not tap because I had a personal emergency that made me unavailable. I ended up paying for the entire series and not being able to attend! Luckily I was able to attend the following session this spring, and the Academy worked with me to transfer my credits to a future semester. Our instructor is incredibly knowledgeable, I couldn’t believe how much he knew about tap. Regardless of what a person knows, he has applied knowledge that was able to translate to every level in attendance. So happy!”
– Leela Hammond“I loved the opportunity to test the waters of acting without paying an arm and a leg to do so in the Academy’s Adult Acting class. I loved the community aspect of the class as well; getting to know other people who were interested in pursuing acting. It felt very safe and welcoming.”
– Danielle Fike“I feel so lucky to have been in the room for the Community Choir class, with this amazing and inspirational instructor, in a pool of incredible talent, singing such gorgeous and powerful pieces! Every single day I think about this opportunity and tear up, and I have literally cried in every class, multiple times. Elan probably thinks I’m unhinged, but I promise I’m just really happy!”
– Nicole Freel Baldridge“My friend’s daughter had the most remarkable two weeks at the Musical Mash-Up summer camp. What you gave that child through the scholarship opportunity may truly be transformative in her life. To think a year ago, she didn’t even speak English. Her mother showed me the video of the performance and it just is remarkable.”
