SDMT Academy is thrilled to announce our summer schedule, with something for every age and every interest! Musical Theater Explorer camps for our younger performers ages 5-8, students will get to explore the music and movement of The Jungle Book. We’re excited to continue to offer Musical Theatre Mash-Up. Anything goes in this camp, where the campers pick their favorite musical theatre songs of all time, and work together to create a fun script that will entertain and delight their family and friends! Finally, our summer camp participants will have the opportunity to hone their skills in Prep With The Pros, where we bring in industry professionals to work side by side with our aspiring performers. These pros will give valuable insight and input to help our artists grow!

Look out explorers! It’s time to journey into the jungle and follow the adventures of Mowgli, Baloo, and all their friends. The Jungle Book features classic Disney songs like “The Bare Necessities” and “I Wanna Be Like You” and is sure to be a great time. Instructors will guide your campers through a merry musical theatre experience. This camp will culminate in a musical theatre performance for family and friends on the SDMT Stage!

What’s your favorite musical theatre song, ever? We’ll get creative with your fellow campers, and create a unique musical theater experience that you design! We will make magic together by picking your favorite songs and collaborating with your fellow artists to make a script. This camp will culminate in a musical theatre performance for family and friends on the SDMT Stage!

Looking to advance your skills for your next audition? Make sure you have the knowledge to line up your next agent? Get your book in order and make sure that monologue is popping? SDMT Academy’s PREP WITH THE PROS summer camp is a week long intensive aimed at honing your audition skills and prep, to take you to the next level! We will bring in industry professionals to work side by side with our developing performers. Over the course, campers will experience training in Acting, Movement & Dance, Improvisation, Audition Technique, Building Your Audition Book, Vocal Work, and more.
*This course is for students with existing knowledge and experience in the performing arts. It is not intended for beginning students. If you have a question about whether this course is appropriate for your student, please contact the Academy.
