Telling the story of a young Indiana highschooler just trying to bring her girlfriend to the prom, the musical takes an unexpected turn when four eccentric Broadway performers descend on the town in an earnest, yet misguided, attempt to fight the injustice and share a bit of the spotlight again. With an incredible score and the enduring message that love can bring everyone together, The Prom captures the humor and heart of a classic musical comedy and resonates with audiences now more than ever.

You may have seen her previously in Hello, Dolly! as the ensemble dance captain. Before that, Kylie performed many times through San Diego State University, where she is finishing her fourth year. Those shows included, Steel Pier, Spelling Bee, Cabaret, and an original work called In a Sunshine State. Outside of SDSU, she was also able to play Anybodys in Teatro’s West Side Story. The role of Emma was a dream for a long time, and Kylie would like to thank all of the SDMT family for the opportunity.

WashingtonSheldon Saperstein (u/s Mr. Hawkins)[Redacted] Years ago, my best friend's sister took me to prom as her date. I was nursing a concussion then, so my memories of the evening are hazy. I barely ate, rarely danced and strayed away to sit and rest. My best friend, Jay, found me and asked if I was okay. No, I said bleary-eyed, dancing with your sister, who's gotten old. Then dance with me, he replied. We snuck away and slow-danced in some shady corner before my favorite six-letter slur flew through the air and landed within earshot. I am thankful for Straight Jay and happier for the redo. Go Prom!

As a performer, she has worked with Moonlight Amphitheatre, New Village Arts, Diversionary Theatre, San Diego Musical Theatre, Intrepid Theatre Company, Oceanside Theatre Company, North Coast Rep, SeaWorld San Diego and Disney Cruise Line.
