Pre-Professional Production
Performers in our Pre-Professional Productions will work with Directors, Choreographers, Musical Directors, and Technical Crew who regularly work our Professional Productions and explore everything it takes to bring Broadway to San Diego. These young performers regularly go on to build successful musical theatre careers and star in our main stage musicals!
Ranging from 13-17 years of age, this is your chance to see some of the best young talent San Diego has to offer before they hit the big time!

Following a move from New York City to small-town Indiana, young Evan Goldman grapples with his parents’ divorce, prepares for his impending Bar Mitzvah, and navigates the complicated social circles of a new school. With an unforgettable rock score from Tony Award-winning composer, Jason Robert Brown, (Parade, The Last Five Years, Bridges of Madison County) 13 is a musical about fitting in – and standing out! This play deals with the hardships of leaving familiar places for unfamiliar ones, fitting in with your peers, and transitioning from youth to adulthood, and it’s sure to charm actors and audiences alike!
